Allerød Municipality
Skovvang, De Midlertidige Pladser
From May 2024 to November 2024, Buddy has been tested in Allerød Municipality. The evaluation of Buddy at the Skovvang and De Midlertidige Pladser nursing homes in Allerød Municipality has resulted in four main areas that reflect Buddy's positive impact on the work of healthcare professionals:
- Time fred up for core tasks: At Skovvang, Buddy has significantly reduced the need for transportation, with up to 40 km saved per month on morning and evening shifts, and it shows potential to save staff at least 1.15 km per shift.
- Simpler workflows: By taking over tasks such as transporting waste, used linen and delivering depot goods, Buddy has made daily workflows easier and more efficient. This has simplified work routines, which has reduced the complexity of staff tasks and increased work efficiency.
- Fewer disruptions: Since Buddy handles the logistical tasks, the staff is not interrupted in their interactions with citizens at De Templertidige Pladser and the residents at Skovvang.
- Improved working environment: The implementation of Buddy has had a positive effect on the working environment, both physically and mentally. At Skovvang, Buddy has relieved the staff of heavy lifting of garbage bags and sacks of used linen. Also, the general atmosphere on both sites has improved, as both staff on both sites and their residents and citizens experience the robot as a positive and encouraging element that contributes to a better quality of working life.
Bispebjerg Hospital
Emergency Neurological Department.
From May to August 2023, the Neurological Department of Bispebjerg Hospital has tested Buddy. After the end of the test period, the department has continued the collaboration with Yuman and continues using Buddy up to this day.
- Buddy creates more focused nursing time with the patient, more fluent patient contact, which leads to good dialogue between nurses and patients.
- With Buddy, nurses take 2000 fewer steps per shift (out of between 5.000-1.000).
- Buddy is very user-friendly and easy to use, and likewise easy to integrate into the workflow.
Capio Private Hospital
Surgery department.
From June to August 2023, Capio Private Hospital has tested Buddy in their surgery department.
- Buddy has worked 57 days assisting nurses, and has given 74 hours back to nurses, equivalent to 2 FTE weeks.
- Buddy assisted nurses with the transport of medical equipment, food and drinks.
